Celebration for the 65th Anniversary of Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute, CAFS

On August 28, 2012, the celebration ceremony for the 65th Anniversary of Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute was held in the Conference Hall of YSFRI. ZHANG Xianliang, President of Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, WANG Taijian, the former Party Secretary of Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, LI Jieren, Director of Fishing Vessel Registration Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture, leaders of institutes and stations affiliated to CAFS, presidents and CEOs of the aquaculture industry, leaders of YSFRI and Academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering TANG Qisheng, ZHAO Fazhen, and LEI Jilin, former leaders, representatives of employees, retiree and students of YSFRI attended the ceremony. The meeting was chaired by JIN Xianshi, the Deputy Director General of YSFRI.

Director General of YSFRI, WANG Qingyin, delivered a warm speech. He pointed out that the YSFRI has achieved outstanding progresses in the discipline construction, personnel training, technology platform, foreign exchanges and cooperation, and innovation culture since her foundation 65 years ago, and has made many groundbreaking and pioneering contributions to marine fisheries science and technology development of China.

ZHANG Xianliang, President of CAFS, made an important speech. He pointed out that, as a big institute of CAFS, the YSFRI has made outstanding contributions to the economic development of fisheries in China, and hope YSFRI make greater contribution to the development of marine fisheries science and technology in the future.

After the ceremony, Academician TANG Qisheng, Academician LEI Jilin, and President WU Hougang of Dalian Zhangzidao Fishery Group Co., Ltd., made speeches entitled "Sustainable Development Strategy for Chinese Aquaculture", "Development Trend of Industrialized Fish Culture” and "Relying on Science and Technology, Innovation and Development of the Blue Economy”.
